Apple & Chai Spiced Porridge
Sunday morning starts with goodness. As the Winter starts to get colder we love to cook porridge.
So here is my recipe
Apple Chai Spiced Porridge
1 cup of whole oats soaked overnight if you have time.
soak oats in
1.5 teaspoons of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of nutmeg
2 x star anise
1/4 teaspoon of pepper
Pinch of salt.
2 cups of water.
store in the fridge over night. Skip this step if you don’t have time and rest in a pot of 10 mins before cooking.
In the morning, add
2 Granny Smith apples.
1.5 cups Milk / Mylk of your choice
cook in slow until all the water is dissolved.
Add the milk / mylk
Cook until creamy
Add a sweetener of your choice like brown sugar or coconut blossom nectar. Whatever you choose.
Then serve. Awesome breakfast for Winter.
